When I started my journey with feng shui in 2006, it was a path of healing for me as I renovated a home that ended up renovating me. Over the years, I have seen the impact it has had on so many of my clients. My approach to feng shui has always come from a place of healing ourselves, our spaces, and the planet.
My favorite thing about what I do is teaching others to do the same. My mission in starting the Earth Home School of Feng Shui was to introduce the home as a modality for healing, just like acupuncture, nutrition, energy healing, etc. I am excited to see my vision becoming a reality as more and more holistic practitioners are integrating this work into their existing practices. It is allowing for deeper transformations for their clients and in their own personal journey.
I am also seeing the desire to add feng shui into other commercial areas, such as interior design, architecture, real estate, and city planning. This is because spirituality and energy are being understood and infused into all areas of life now. Working on the 3D surface level is no longer satisfying, whether it is in simple conversation or in decorating a room.
We are also seeing the importance of space in the business world. Having functional and aesthetic-pleasing spaces is a make-or-break for businesses. In China where feng shui originates, feng shui is a necessity rather than a luxury. This is becoming more and more the case with businesses in the United States and other parts of the world. Call it feng shui or the psychology of spaces, space is the secret weapon behind the success of businesses, from restaurants to solo entrepreneurs to corporations.
It is only a matter of time until feng shui will become part of our everyday language when it comes to our spaces. A friend of mine recently told me a story that her son was having a bad day. When she asked him what was wrong, he said, “I think my feng shui is all wrong.”
